What is special about North America’s climate?

Saturday, December 27, 2008
North America is a continent that has every kind of climate, from the dry, bitter cold of the arctic, to the steamy heat of the tropics. The continent extends to within 10deg of latitude of both the equator and the North Pole. Here, you will find tropical rain forest and savannas on the lowlands of Central America, as well as areas of permanent ice cap in central Greenland. If you g to the interior, you will find desert and semi arid conditions. However, the major part of the continent enjoys a temperature climate. This vast variety in climate makes North America truly special.
